This section required some help that I could not get from anybody else, so I got it straight from the source, Brett Hestla himself. Many thanks goes out to him for helping me with this section, and finally giving us all some closure, and a look into the future..

The band began its final demise in mid 2002, after playing together as ViRGOS for 2 years, the band had felt un-inspired, and financially challenged, they felt it was time to move on.. Brett went to play with Creed as their touring bassist, JD went to downstem, Ted and Marchant ended up playing together again, in Red Halo, and Chris was spotted playing bass for Course of Nature. Brett also opened up a recording studio with long time friend Justin Thomas, which to this day is still going strong. At this point in time, there is no sign of ViRGOS regrouping, JD, Ted, and Chris have all moved from Orlando, FL back to their hometown of Birmingham, AL. Last report from them came from J.D.'s post on the messageboard saying that him, Jason, and the Deacon have formed a new band together.. and that Jason is fronting the new band. In Orlando, Brett has started a new band called "Dark Blue" with the following line up:

Brett Hestla:
Will Hunt (From Skrape):
Corey Lowery (Stereomud):
Troy McLawhorn (From Double Drive):
Clint Lowery (From Sevendust):
Vocals
Drums
Bass
Guitar
Guitar

I have been invited by Brett to go down to his studio to hear the new music, and also help promote his new material, which of course I totally agreed to, so as soon as I get all the info in on the new band you can expect a new website for that band. As far as the rest of the guys we can only hope that JD will come back to the board and let us all know what to expect from them. As you can see all the guys have their hands full, and they are all fully optimistic on the future of their music.

Stay Tuned for more.
